The Best of March 2017

My Scientology Movie

Surprisingly not about Tom Cruise. After the Church of Scientology refuses to cooperate in making a documentary, Louis Theroux teams up with former senior church official Mark Rathbun to create dramatic reconstructions of incidents within the church witnessed by Rathbun and other ex-Scientologists.

Personal Shopper

This French psychological thriller was written and directed by Olivier Assayas. The film did the rounds at all of the major film festivals of 2016 before being released to commercial cinemas this March. Assayas won the award for Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival. Fashion lovers should go for the French Fashion and the Parisian backdrop. The Guardian described the film best: uncategorisable yet undeniably terrifying.

Free Fire

Set in Boston in 1978, Free Fire stars Cillian Murphy and Brie Larson. As action-comedies go, this is one of the best. Great film!

Please leave a comment below if I missed out on any great movies this March.
